TruGroove - Suspended

The height of sophisticated linear lighting—TruGroove LED luminaires are now available in suspended, surface and wall mount versions, complementing our high performance recessed line-of-light and extending sustainable elegance throughout any space. Whether you seek direct or indirect light, or a combination of the two, TruGroove LED offers unparalleled light distribution for the utmost flexibility and visual comfort.

Overview

Driving performance beyond the edge.

TruGroove LED's unique batwing optical distribution gives you exceptional control so you can create balanced, luminous spaces using fewer luminaires compared with traditional lighting systems.

Refined design for distinctive spaces.

Stand apart from the crowd with TruGroove LED line-of-light luminaires, a balanced blend of form and function.

Few and Far Between.

TruGroove's exceptional lighting distribution lends itself to wide row spacing—enabling lighting designers to create more uniformly illuminated environments, using fewer fixtures and less energy.

MesoOptics DX & Innovative Optics

Our original MesoOptics technology consists of micron-scale optical structures on a clear substrate for precisely distributing and controlling light from a luminaire. The combination of distribution control and high transmission efficiencies result in fewer luminaires in the space, and lower energy consumption than with traditional optics.

New MesoOptics DX delivers even more astonishing performance. By miniaturizing the bi-directional lens and integrating it into the structure of the MesoOptics surface, visual purity of the lower lens is improved along with luminaire efficacy. The optimal batwing distribution is retained, so light is delivered exactly where you need it most.

For the upper hemisphere, Philips Ledalite has developed an all-new Freeform Elliptical lens optic that takes light from a central strip of LEDs facing upwards and redirects them laterally into a wide batwing distribution.

And for applications that are mounted on or close to a wall, specialized optics in both the lower and upper hemispheres, unique to the asymmetric versions, ensure a smooth gradation of light down the vertical surface, avoiding light waste and obtrusive hotspots.

True Batwing Distribution & Astonishing Performance

TruGroove LED's optimal batwing distributions, outstanding efficacies and wide range of direct and indirect light outputs mean:

     • Exceptional lighting uniformity and visual comfort

     • Wide spacing to minimize the number of luminaires

     • Affordable projects with low operating costs

TruGroove LED's unique batwing optical distribution gives you exceptional control so you can create balanced, luminous spaces using fewer luminaires compared with traditional lighting systems. The engineered elliptical lens and MesoOptics DX technology delivers efficacies of up to 126 LPW with associated reductions in energy density.

Finishes

Finishes are factory applied, high-quality powder coat paint. Available in the following standard finishes: textured matte White, Black or Titanium Silver. Designers can also specify their own custom finishes for an additional cost.

Controls

Response Daylight Sensor & Actilume Occupancy with Field-enabled Daylight are available in suspended direct, direct/indirect and indirect/direct versions and also in surface mount.

Philips Ledalite Response Daylight sensors and Philips Actilume Occupancy sensors are fully integrated sensors that automatically adjust light levels when daylight enters the room, or dim to low levels when people leave the area, thus helping to reduce operating expenses and comply with new energy codes. Sensors are factory pre-calibrated and ready to use right out of the box. Just plug in the fixture - no power packs, standalone sensors or low-voltage wiring schemes required. The sensors adjust light output gradually with minimal distraction for occupants.

Modules + Runs

Available in 4, 6 and 8ft modules. Module lengths do not include endcaps. Please note that in corners, the upper hemisphere is always symmetric.

Different modules can be joined together to create continuous runs of various lengths. The following table shows how to configure typical runs using different modules.
