Sync - Suspended

With its ultra-slim design, Sync is the epitome of compact style. Sync offers true direct/indirect LED lighting distribution and luminous aesthetics with exceptional glare control — an ideal, energy-efficient solution for almost any lighting challenge.

Overview

Compact Style

Sync offers sophistication and simplicity with its ultra-slim, contemporary design. Sync’s low-profile design is available in LED. The light source options enables lighting designers to specify a luminous fixture, without having to compromise on a clean and simple design aesthetic.

Maintain Your Balance

With true direct/indirect performance—and no direct view of the light source—Sync provides complete visual comfort with the perfect balance of brightness and glare control from all viewing angles.

Less is More

Sync enables wider row spacing, reducing the number of fixtures required within a space, which means a significant reduction in lighting-related energy consumption. Even with 20ft on-center spacing, Sync can achieve a 5.6:1 ceiling uniformity ratio and a power density lower than 0.4W/sq. ft.

A Perfect Pairing

Available in suspended and complementary wall mount versions, Sync allows designers to maintain aesthetic continuity throughout a space. All fixtures are available in 4ft or 8ft modules that can be joined together to create continuous runs of various lengths.

True Direct/Indirect Performance Without a Louver

With its ultra-slim design, Sync is the epitome of compact style – offering all the benefits of visually-comfortable direct/indirect lighting without a louver. Sync creates an ideal balance of ambient and task-focused lighting, with efficacies as high as 124 lm/W for LED. Positive work environments require a careful balance between illumination and energy consumption. Sync delivers this balance perfectly through optimal light levels, exceptional uniformity, and low power densities.

The table below illustrates that with relatively same lumen output (~4700lm average), when launched Sync LED yielded 28% lower energy consumption, and 44% higher efficacy than fluorescent! Recent LED upgrades have only widened the performance gap.

Fewer Fixtures = Lower Energy Costs

Sync lends itself to wide row spacing, which means you can create a balanced luminous environment, using fewer fixtures and less energy.

Upper Hemisphere

Low Peak candela angle provides:

  • excellent uniformity
  • lower power densities
  • wider row spacing (up to 20' o.c.)

Lower hemisphere

Batwing distribution provides:

  • glare-free task illumination
  • no view of LED's

Optical System & LED Light Engine

The lean construction of Sync is comrpised of arrays of LEDs edge-lighting a low profile Light Guide panel. The Light Guide panel allows light to be coupled and transmitted through total internal reflection. The etched surface of the panel optimizes the light extraction and directs it into a wide indirect distribution. This makes Philips Ledalite's direct/indirect LED luminaires a great choice for close-to-ceiling applications. Light is purified and controlled by MesoOptics film then passes through the non-glare acrylic lens. MesoOptics removes striations, homogenizes color and controls high angle glare. As light emerges from the lens, an ideal batwing distribution is created in the lower hemisphere.
