Ledalite Launches Sync™ with MesoOptics® and Verge™ with MesoOptics®

New Ledalite luminaires unique in offering true direct/indirect performance without a louver and no direct view of the lamp...

VANCOUVER, BC – Ledalite has launched Sync with MesoOptics and Verge with MesoOptics, two new families of suspended and wall mount luminaires that deliver exceptional direct/indirect lighting performance without the use of a louver. With their sophisticated, ultra-slim designs and luminous aesthetics, Sync and Verge are the epitome of compact style.

“Sync and Verge are quite unique, not only in their performance, but also in their design.” said Ledalite President Tim Berman. “Developing a high-performance luminaire that is a mere 1-9/16" in height, but can still accommodate T8 lamping, is quite a feat.”

A combination of Ledalite’s unique MesoOptics technology and the 70% up / 30% down distribution of these new products enables wider row spacing, lower power densities, excellent ceiling uniformity and perfectly balanced glare-free task illumination with no direct view of the lamps. Both products offer the ability to increase row-spacing to as much as 16 to 20 feet on center, with efficiencies as high as 88.3%.

Designed for a range of mainstream applications, Sync and Verge suspended products are available in 2 lamp T5, T5HO and T8 lumen packages. They are also available with Ledalite’s Response Daylight sensors to help specifiers meet code requirements and save up to 35% more energy in window-adjacent locations. The sensors are factory pre-calibrated, fully integrated in the fixture and free when ordered with standard Ledalite-supplied dimming ballasts.

Ledalite has also introduced wall mount versions of both products to help designers create aesthetic continuity throughout a space. Suitable for corridors, perimeter areas and private office applications, the wall mount products provide a direct/indirect asymmetric distribution and are available in 1 T5, T5HO or T8 lamping options.

Ledalite Launches Chopstick™ with MesoOptics®

New Ledalite luminaire unique in offering small-scale profile without compromising lighting performance or budget...

VANCOUVER, BC – Ledalite has launched Chopstick™ with MesoOptics®, a new family of suspended and wall mount luminaires that provides market-leading performance and pricing in a minimalist 4-1/4" x 2" profile.

“Architects and lighting specifiers are always looking for small, elegant luminaires but traditionally they’ve had to compromise on lighting performance or budget to get it,” said Ledalite President Tim Berman. “Chopstick responds to that demand without compromise. To our knowledge, there is no other small-scale, mainstream product on the market that offers this exceptional uniformity, energy efficiency and pricing.”

By using Ledalite’s unique MesoOptics technology and innovative optical design, Chopstick suspended products produce a wide-spread semi-indirect distribution and fixture efficiencies as high as 94%. The result is lighting performance that equals – or betters – more traditional large-scale products while using as little – or less – energy.

In a comparison between Chopstick and more traditional 9"x3" semi-indirect fixtures, Chopstick provides increased light levels and substantially better ceiling uniformity while using the same amount of energy. Lighting designers can leverage this performance and use more aggressive row spacing to further reduce costs and energy consumption.

Designed for a range of mainstream applications, Chopstick suspended products are available with 1, 2 or 3 lamp T5 and T5HO lumen packages.

Ledalite has also introduced a wall mount version of Chopstick to help designers create aesthetic continuity throughout the space. Suitable for corridors, perimeter areas and private office applications, Chopstick wall mount products provide a direct/indirect asymmetric distribution and are available in 1 T5 and T5HO lamping.

Ledalite has produced a range of materials to support the Chopstick launch. High resolution photography, product brochures, lighting applications and specification sheets are available online.
Ledalite Launches In-Cove II

New cove lighting system from Ledalite provides market-leading performance and energy efficiency...

VANCOUVER, BC – Ledalite has dramatically re-designed its successful In-Cove product and launched In-Cove II, a cove lighting system that virtually eliminates socket shadows, provides efficiencies as high as 94% and offers several mounting, lamping and module options for design flexibility.

The unique design of In-Cove II allows lighting professionals to optimize distributions and finesse luminous aesthetics for a wide range of cove lighting applications in retail, office lobbies and other large public spaces.

In-Cove II uses an innovative optical system that directs light to dramatically reduce socket shadows and increase forward-throw distribution into the space – two critical features for cove lighting solutions.

Mounted in either horizontal or vertical orientations, designers can also pivot the mounting position to alter the peak candela angle of the fixture. This flexibility enables precise coordination of optical distributions with architectural requirements to illuminate flat, sloped, vaulted or floating ceilings. It also enables close-to-ceiling mounting while maintaining exceptional uniformity across ceilings and walls.

In-Cove II provides further design flexibility with 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8ft module lengths and four housing profile sizes that accommodate 1 and 2 lamp T5, T5HO and T8 lamping options.

With market-leading efficiencies and strong photometric performance, In-Cove II beats competitive asymmetric cove systems on several fronts. It also provides better quality lighting than the strip systems often used for cove applications. While strip lighting products are considered more affordable, their symmetric distribution can produce hot spots above the cove and limited illumination in the space. In-Cove II’s asymmetric, forward-throw distribution produces a smooth, even gradient of light across ceilings while projecting more light out into the space.

Ledalite has produced a range of materials to support the launch of In-Cove II. High resolution photography, product brochures, lighting applications and specification sheets are available online. To learn more, visit www.ledalite.com/products/in-cove-ii.

Ledalite Launches Response™ Daylight

Vancouver, B.C. - Ledalite Architectural Products has launched Response Daylight, an exceptionally easy, aesthetic and affordable way to incorporate daylight controls into lighting designs.

The Response Daylight photocell is completely integrated in Ledalite’s suspended and recessed luminaires, eliminating the need for complex low-voltage wiring schemes and costly power packs. Late-night, third-party commissioning is also virtually eliminated. Response Daylight sensors are factory pre-calibrated for most typical lighting applications and ready to use right out of the box. If the unique demands of the space or personal preferences do require some fine-tuning, sensor settings can be easily adjusted onsite.

Response Daylight is designed to save energy while minimizing distraction to occupants. As daylight contribution increases, the sensor dims luminaire output on a relative, weighted scale to provide 30-35% energy savings in window-adjacent locations. The sensors have a built-in delay to prevent abrupt disruptions.

One of the most unique benefits of Response Daylight is its price. When ordered with standard Ledalite-supplied dimming ballasts, it is available at no charge in Ledalite’s suspended products and for a small charge in recessed products.

“This is a significant step forward in daylight controls,” says Ledalite President Tim Berman. “The benefits of using daylight sensors to save energy have often been overshadowed by their cost and complexity. Ledalite has responded with a real-world solution that removes both of those barriers to help lighting specifiers meet the growing demand for energy-conscious, sustainable designs.”

Ledalite has created a number of resources for Response Daylight including a full color brochure, examples of typical suspended and recessed applications, downloadable design tools and sensor specifications. Hi-res images are available upon request. To learn more about Response Daylight, visit www.ledalite.com/response.
