Lighting Applications Specialist

Ledalite Architectural Products is now taking applications for a full-time Lighting Applications Specialist position. As a member of our team, your primary focus is to support the sales effort of the company by providing lighting applications services and technical product support to both internal staff and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Pre-construction photometric analysis of proposed and retrofit building projects
• Cost-Benefit and energy efficiency analysis with respect to national and localized laws
• Internal/external customer technical support
• Analysis of products produced by competing companies

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
• Practical experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Good analytical skills
• Self-starting individual with a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills; work independently and as part of a team

In addition to the above, preference will be given to candidates with:

• Knowledge of the lighting and/or construction industry
• Ability to read construction / electrical drawings
• Practical experience with AutoCAD and AGI32

Required Experience:

• 3 years previous experience in a sales environment and/or manufacturing environment

Education:

• Post Secondary education in Architectural / Building Engineering Technology
• I.E.S. ED 100 or 150 (preferred but not essential)
